Shui-an

Shui-an is a famous ex-opera performer from the Chinese Tang dynasty, who suddenly lost her voice during one of her concerts in front of the emperor. Out of shame she flees out of the palace for the surrounding forests & mountains, in search of a place to rest. She disguises herself in this long furcoat that gets covered in moss and branches the longer she's out and about, making her easily blend into the tree-rich environment.
In nature she meets a magical songtrush that slowly makes Shui-an retreive her voice again. She always stays cautious and jittery abround humans tho, living a hermit life in cave far form human society.
